Western green

Cool water and a short steep keep a green sweet rather than grassy and harsh.

Leaf
3 g
Water
300 ml
Temperature
75°C
Steep
2:00

That's 1 g of leaf per 100 ml, with water at 75°C (167°F). Style: Western. Tea: green tea.

Step by step

  1. Let boiled water cool to about 75°C, or mix three parts boiling with one part cold.
  2. Steep 3 g in 300 ml for 2 minutes.
  3. Strain fully. A second steep of 3 minutes is usually good.

Log it as you brew. Steepbook opens a session with these numbers, scales the leaf to your teaware, times every steep and remembers how it tasted.
