A pot of black tea

One good cup the everyday way: freshly boiled water and four minutes.

Leaf
3 g
Water
300 ml
Temperature
95°C
Steep
4:00

That's 1 g of leaf per 100 ml, with water at 95°C (203°F). Style: Western. Tea: black tea.

Step by step

  1. Warm the pot.
  2. Add 3 g of leaf for every 300 ml.
  3. Pour on water just off the boil and steep 4 minutes.
  4. Strain it all out, so the last cup isn't stewed.

Log it as you brew. Steepbook opens a session with these numbers, scales the leaf to your teaware, times every steep and remembers how it tasted.
