10 s +5 s · 10 steeps

That's 7 g of leaf per 100 ml, with water at 100°C (212°F). Style: Gongfu. Tea: shou pu-erh tea.

Step by step

  1. Break 7 g off the cake.
  2. Rinse twice with boiling water.
  3. Start at 10 s and add 5 s a steep; shou rarely turns bitter, so you can push it.

The steeps

10 steeps, in seconds: 10 · 15 · 20 · 25 · 30 · 35 · 40 · 45 · 50 · 55. Pour out every drop between them, and stop when the leaf tastes of little.

Log it as you brew. Steepbook opens a session with these numbers, scales the leaf to your teaware, times every steep and remembers how it tasted.
