That's 3 g of leaf per 100 ml, with water at 100°C (212°F). Style: Turkish çay. Tea: black tea.

Step by step

  1. Put 9 g of a strong, finely cut black tea in a small teapot.
  2. Pour on 300 ml of boiling water.
  3. Keep the pot hot while it brews for 10 to 15 minutes: stand it on a pan of barely simmering water, or under a tea cosy.
  4. Boil the kettle again just before serving.
  5. Pour the concentrate a third to half way up each glass and top up with hot water to the strength you like.

Log it as you brew. Steepbook opens a session with these numbers, scales the leaf to your teaware, times every steep and remembers how it tasted.
